Triglyerides also come when people are being treated with steroids.

Diet is a factor, for some people. Carbs (all that wonderful homemade bread???) and pasta will do it. Ice Cream and sugar... also.

There are two forms of inositol out there now. The regular one, is also called myo-inositol. And a new one for PCOS and insulin resistance called d-chiro inositol..much more expensive.

Inositol is also used to treat anxiety and OCD, in the gram range, of dosing. My husband and son use it in powder form (cheaper that way) in juice daily. 8oz of Jarrow pharmaceutical grade costs about $12.00 at iherb and lasts more than 6mos for my husband.

This Wiki article is pretty good.
