--has a number of threads about this here; origianlly her neurolgoical issues were considered idiopathic, or possibly spinal; it took a long time for her and her doctors to discover that there was very likely a Lyme connection.

Lyme is one of those great mimickers of other conditions (as is B12 deficiency), and many here are familiar with the controversy among medical professionals as to just how widespread Lyme is, what are the appropriate tests for it, and whether co-infections expalin many of the varied possible symptoms.
