I just had this happen last week with my 15 yr old. It was a foreign object had irratated her eye, a tinnnie scratch. But it was the same pain and she was sure it was going to make her blind.
Doc checked what ever it was, gone. But gave her antibiotic eye drops and in a day was much better.
I remember asking him, that something in the eye could cause that much pain?
and Did it relate to a sinus infection the week before? The pain you discribe was just as she had, whatever it was thought the antibiotic drops took care of it.
