Smile Hi BigPapi!

And a big ol' welcome to NeuroTalk! I don't know about whether or not you should stick with this doc if he's not doing you any good. I don't understand his philosophy about illness and pain. If you have no skeletal hot-spots, the only thing you need or that will work is PT? I'm like you, I can see the obvious benefit of getting exercise. Being more mobile and having the rest of your body be more fit. But what if that's not enough?

My condition is currently undiagnosed, but the latest pet theory is that I may have some rare muscle-wasting illness. I do moderate exercise as best I can to stay in shape. But if I try PT, my muscles go into spasms, and these flares can last for 2-4 weeks, so it's something I have to be careful about.

I definitely wouldn't stay just because I know his wife. I'd decide what I thought was best for me and do it, as I'm sure you'll eventually do. All I can do is wish you the best of luck in getting better and more pain-free than you are today.

Best Wishes,
Idealist
