there are many kinds of more alternative therapies- too.
chiropractic??, low level laser, electric stim{ TENS, INF, MUSCLE}, near/far infrared, to name some of the more common.
there are some good sites on Homeopathic medicines.
Triggerpoint, different massage techniques, reflexology, acupuncture, whole body work- like Alexander, somatics
I would really look for a doc that will expand his knowledge base and look for more or newer methods for pain relief.
this guy sounds like he does not care to learn new things.
