Its hard
I know what you mean!
When I first hit my head I was half way through the second semester of my freshman year of college. I had a hard choice, go home and get better quickly or stay and deal with PCS for a lot longer. Well, I chose to stay. I stayed because I did not want to give myself a future excuse for giving up. Well, 2 years later I am still dealing with PCS, but I think it is worth it.
My advise is if you can't help but work, then my idea is to just resign yourself to a longer recovery. This is hard, but realize what you are doing it for... For me, I am doing it because I love the education I am getting, I don't want to worry my family and friends, I want to give myself no excuse to give into future illnesses or troubles or whatever else comes my way.
I don't know what motivates you, but whatever it is, is it worth it? You need something beyond yourself to motivate you...this is how you make it.
Good Luck!!!!
