Default Single Fiber EMG tomorrow

Hi all,

I've been MIA for a while, not intentionally, but mostly been busy. Then been in a funk. I'd SO hoped to get the SFEMG before the end of the year, and it didn't happen, so now I stinking roll back into expensive deductables and 20% co-pays again. I was 100% till the end of the year because of all the bills LAST year. UGH!!!!!!

So I got for my second SFEMG tomorrow. The first one was with my primary neruo and this one is with the second opinion neuro.

I'm just sick that I have to do it. It was SO damn painful....... <Sigh> I don't remember who told me to, but I'm going to go out tomorrow and walk my tooshie off until my body is so fatigued. The first time I'd just rested myself thinking I should. This time, my body better tell it's story!

Oh, I finally got the actual paperwork from the first one. The report reads...

"Needle electromyography of selected muscles of the right upper limb and right lower limb showed very mild changes of trains of positive waves affecting the right triceps, sparing the other muscles sampled. However, there was the sense that the elicited motor unit potentials (done with a concentric needle EMG) of the right deltoid and cervical paraspinals were slightly on the small side"

"Impression and plan: Myoclonus, possible seizures, memory problems and now subtle findings of muscle disease. I agree that she needs a muscle biopsy"

Which I did have and was useless.

So. Tomorrow. Either more useless, painful and tiring tests that tell us nothing, or.... answers. Either way, I'm not excited, or hopeful.
