Hi Shelley,

I have had Clonidine in the form of patches and epidural infusion and a cream.
The immediate response is vasodilation and a drop in blood pressure that can make you feel very faint, nauseated and altogether crappy. This drug should be given in carefully titrated doses under the watchful eye of you doctor.
The trick is to gradually introduce it and there is far less likelihood of having the reaction you must have had.
I hope it hasn't fightened you off forever because it can give great pain relief when all the cells to the nerves receive a better blood supply.
I would definitely want to chat to your doctor about a more careful titration of the dose.
Wishing you luck and hoping you feel better.
