yes EE03 Pat does have a big thread there (the tna site) on the tens unit. lots of info . You should read it. It was/ is successful for her.

Robyn at end of your first post you say you dont want to waste your time trying it if it doesn't work ..honey You should try it to know if it will work . weather it does or doesn't your time IS NOT wasted!! trying tens to find out one way or the other is ALLOT easier cheaper then having a major surgery like mvd or gamma etc those YOU CANT try ,... your just pray to God and hope the surgery helps . Give it a try . if it helps we will all do a happy dance for you, if not then you know you need to take steps looking into other things.
we are all different as is tn symptoms and different forms of tn .. bi lat a typical.. what helps one may not help the next.. so we all must be brave and keep trying things .Okay.

dont know what to say on your pain doc seems very odd neither your gp or pain doc will allow you meds to help with controlling and managing your pain perhaps see if you can find another pain specialist or pain management doc. the specialist is a rung higher up then a management doc I think. I had a pain management doc who gave med after med . then I had a pain specialist who did my pens and the latter was what helped me big time. I wish I had an answer for you . I do have a hug for you and a big wish for low pain and positive results when.. if you try the tens unit. I sure hope you will let us know how thing go .
PEACE
