Three in the family have tried SAM-e (S-adenosyl-methionine), one with excellent results. None had side-effects.
I've just been reading about it in several books! It helps mitochondrial function and is thus involved in energy production using B vitamins and some other nutrients.
It is being mentioned in the book "It's Not

The mention in "It's not Mental" had some B vitamins mentioned as being used with it and the idea about looking into
http://www.lef.org for information, medical doctor consults (free) and protocols. The package says it should not be taken by those diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I've seen that warning on many products used with bipolar disorder. Years ago, I recall seeing that same warning on Melatonin.
Different people need different supplements depending on what the underlying physiological issues are.
It is a shame so few doctors are knowledgable.
