Well when I first got hurt and was searching for doctors one gave me a tapering dose of prednisone because my arm was so inflamed and it worked great. Don't you know 7 years later for a different reason the prednisone helps my arm more than any other drug I have ever taken.
If anyone has any ideas of why this works or has had a similar experience please let me know.
Thanks,

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I just can't believe since I went Monday I have had almost no pain in my arm, which is just incredible. I have pain everyday in my RSD Arm, not screaming on the floor pain but pain that sometime knocks me out. I just wish there was something that they could come up with like a prenedsone which can be taken all the time. I suffer because I'm afraid to take the right medication to relieve my pain. I went that route in the beginning and for quite a few years but then decided I wanted to try and see how much pain I was really in and I was getting paranoid about what I was not feeling in other parts of my body so I went off all long last pain medication all anti-depressants, and the neurontin, lyrica and I can't remember what else. Currently I'm taking 1 type of accute pain medication, but regularly. Which I would like to stop that but I think I would kinda be out of commission. I'll have to see what the future brings.
Just think if so many of us get relieve from Predneson we and could take it everyday it would make the narcotic drug makers profits tumble. Hm....thing about it, maybe it's done on purpose.
