Hi, my neuropathy was caused through Prediabetes & low B12, your symptoms sound very similar to what mine were a few years back.
Walking used to aggravate the hell out my symptoms, walking on pathments was a real killer but I needed to lose weight so i opted to go to our local all weather pool [early in the mornings when it was quite there] and just walk up and down the lanes, doesn't hurt your feet at all, but it really does help when your trying to loose weight and get fitter.

As already mentioned nerves heal very slowly and can only do so in the right enviroment, so keeping your sugars as close as possible to non diabetic levels is crucial, also watch out for the lows as well because they damage nerves as well.

I found some relief out of R- lipoic acid 100 mg daily, i did start off with alpha lipoic`acid but it gave me a rash [ rare side affect ] but no problem with the R- Lipoic, it combined with gamma linolenic acid [480 mg daily], this is found in evening primrose oil, it took some time to feel the benefit but definatly helped.

good luck
Brian
