So, I have been going to college for four years now. Since I have gotten my handicap placard I have been parking in exactly in the same space all winter. Friday I forgot to put the fool thing on my mirror and a faculty member called security to give me a ticket. Even the security office was ticked about it when I drove over to their office, crawled over the massive piles of ice here, and went in to pay it. They very kindly tore the ticket up and even apologized to me for the bother. I never cease to be amazed at the mean people out there.
I did however, learn a valuable lesson from this experience. The security office told me that I can park where ever I want to with my placard (staff lots) and even entered the information into their computer so if I forget again (and I will), there will be no more tickets.
