I have 512k ram and plenty of virtual ram on the harddrive -and Via Voice bogs down the whole system- even loading the webpages.

but it does have good comprehension of words and speech
with my sound blaster sound card and a Plantronics headset/mic

I did try it with a cheaper sound card and the recognition was terrible- so that does make a difference too.
