Dave, I dont surf but I sure know that if I could handle it I would cold shower everyday in the summer because cold makes me better. I know others are like this but this is not true of all I have heard. When I got worse in the summer of 09 I called the university where most of my treatment has been. The on-call neuro told me to take a cold shower when I told him my weakness had worsened a lot and was affecting my breathing too.

From reading I have done it is recommended to not do EMGs on cold muscles as it can read wrong. Warm is the best, more likely to show the results.

The wet suit gave me pause to think that one would get warm in it. Boy I dont even let a warm shower hit my trunk for any length of time. Too risky as I hotter than normal shower precipitated my first MG crisis.

I am curious. Is there anything that precipitated your remission? I got so much better that first winter I wondered if that was happening to me tho didnt want to really believe it so I wouldnt hope too much. Now I just know I will be better every winter and worse in the summer and worse as the hot weeks go by.

Anyone out here surf? Can it still be done? How will cold water with a wetsuit on affect MG?
