Jackie, I too have a Medtronic unit. I have told them the belt assemby was defective. Mine is one of their early re-chargers it is supposed to fit into a plastic ring which to hold it in place over my internal unit, the "antenna" is hooked to the charger which is pluged into yet another unit which plugs into the wall. I threw out the belt after the 1st week! Just tuck the "antenna" into my jeans turn on the charger tuck the other end into my back pocket and off I go! It does get rather warmish when I charge it, almost hot. I am not sure they have improved it much by what you describe!
