Aussie, your symptoms are not uncommon after back surgery. Many times nerves suffer mechanical trauma as the surgeon tries to get exposure to the disc for its removal. As a result, you can experience the neuropathic symptoms you now have. These symptoms can remain present for many months and, in a small minority of cases, are permanent. Treatment is symptomatic while you wait for the nerves to heal. I hope you recover quickly!!
