My chiro does an minor adjustment on my top rib from the back some times.
The other PTs did it as an over the shoulder near neck and downward press.
I wonder if it might be a top rib raised up, or tilted?
but it usually wouldn't hurt like a triggerpt.
my raised top ribs just caused extra neck/collarbone tension/strains.
also choking feelings, swallowing problems & limited my arm use - that was during the really bad spasms and after - the ribs got stuck in the raised position after the spams had lifted them up.
they didn't go back down until the PTs & then chiro took care of it.
top rib gets pulled up into the collarbone and closes everything in between down even more...
