Niki,

I had an ultrasound just after I was diagnosed with RSD as my leg became severely swollen overnight and my doctor thought I may have had a blood clot! Thankfully I didn't - it was just severe swelling from the RSD. I can tell you this though, you are certainly not nuts in saying that the scan hurts and the doctor that said that obviously didn't know about RSD much! The ultrasound caused me severe pain and discomfort and I spent ages crying because of if afterwards! My doctor did warn me it would cause problems, especially because I was hypersensitive but it was needed.

I defianately don't want to have to have another ultrasound again that's for sure!
