Hi Debra,
Yes, I get colour changes in my right hand all the time. Sometimes its a purplish/blue with white dots, other times its bright red and at times it has been very white looking. I also get a shooting pain from my ring finger as well as a shooting pain from my shoulder (rotator cuff). Unfortunately, it seems this is common with RSD as I have read many others get this as well.
My physio therapist told me to use moist heat on the hand when it became cold and bluish/purple/white and painful. Not sure if it actually does something or not but think it gives me a little piece of mind that I am doing something to make it better. Sadly, it is usually just time that takes it away.
Take care,
Karen
