reading about your ice storm weather reminds me of the wind storms we had this past winter - it was/is horribly devestating for the trees... we have never experienced anything like it - hurricane force winds...

this is a photo of one of the trees that was blown over:

In spite of the winds, amazingly, the Blue Heron Nests stayed intact!



and while I am in the sharing mood, this is our sky last night at sunset (about 6 p.m.)



and looked what poked out of the ground!
