The Rangers have placed Hank Blalock on the 60-day disabled list with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome which is serious nerve damage. He will have surgery to remove one of his ribs on Monday and he will miss at least three months. This is a huge blow to the Rangers as Blalock is one of their best hitters. ]

Aaron Cook (2004). Kip Wells (2006). Jeremy Bonderman (2008). Noah Lowry (2009). These are the four major leaguers from all other teams who have been diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome in recent history. [Note: There may be more, but there aren't many. This is all I could find.]
