For me, watching TV is a problem because of the slight echos in the room. With the head phones, there are no echos.

I use head phones with a long wire to the back of the TV. I got tired of changing batteries on the cordless head phones.

I know the struggles you are talking of. In the beginning, I would flit around the house from one thing to the other trying to occupy my mind. I could not spend more than 15 to 30 minutes on any individual task or distraction.
