Hi Pixified,

This was the first symptom I observed, and I observed it 4 months before receiving a diagnosis of neurologic and vascular TOS.

At worst, I would wake up as many as 6 times each evening with numbness present. The location was the 4th and 5th digits of my left and or right hand, and very occassionally the part of the lower forearm supplied by the ulnar nerve.

Initially a quick shake dismissed the numbness, but it increased in frequency and persistence during the 4 month period prior to TOS diagnosis.

I've found that after wearing to bed soft elbow splints constructed from a fleece and duct tape, which reduces the degree to which my elbow can be flexed, the frequency of numbness is reduced almost to zero.
