Hi Ginnie,
I had the middle and left half of thyroid removed 3 years ago. Like I said I felt the lump swallowing, went to the doctor, she said it felt ok. About a year later I had an adams apple and had a cat scan. Thats where they found 2 lumps on the left side. They did the biopsy and they were benign but they wanted to take them out. The surgeon found the 3rd in the back
which was probably the one bothering me the most. She said as soon as she saw my thyroid she knew I had hypothryroidism. Im on meds for rest of life.
Please go to ENT or even a Encrinologist.
I thank God it was not cancer since my doctor was so flippant about the lump to begin with.
Good luck, let me know.
Hugs,
Saucer
