Hi Patricia. I have used hypnotherapy to assist in pain management. I see a pain management specialist: clinical psychologist. Of course, it isn't the only thing I use, but I'm not sure of other things such as my TENS unit helping your spouse  I have heard accupunture can help. I have it on my list too! Take care! JD
