I was told similar though for me the block flared me up too much. Also another treatment was suggested where they place a catheter in the spine giving meds and numbing agent and then one is sent to pt 2 times daily. I did not have this done though. The doctor I saw at Cleveland Clinic felt pt was so important in getting to a better place but unfortunatly many have pain that is too high to do so and why the treatments are used.
