I think focusing on the final PRODUCT offered to see if it is worth its expense, and comes from reputable sources, is what is needed.

Just because something is advertised, does not make it useful.

Be informed, and careful, therefore.

Information on a product should be readily available. If there is a website, made for it, and information is not there readily...that is a bad warning sign. We had a product show up here a few times that kept its ingredients a SECRET! Totally unacceptable. And it had exaggerated claims for it too!
Avoid products that claim a CURE. That is a sure sign of deception.

Elavil works for many people. It has been used in low dose for over 20 yrs, for PN. It may not work for some, but it works for many. It is not expensive, either. Faced with a choice of Elavil vs Cymbalta? I'd take the Elavil any day!
Mrs. D-

I will agree if I had to take Elavil or Cymbalta, it would be Elavil for sure. It is better than Neurontin or any of the other recommended PN treatments I had tried. I agree totally. I have been taking supplements for years now so I know what your talking about being selective(or getting what you want). One of the reasons I like OrthoNutrion's is that they have no fillers and give me the same boost as I got taking other products. I was told that most of the studies with Curcumin were done with BC-95 anyway. My point overall was that I am finding great benefit from this curcumin/resveratrol combo and it really reminds me of when I took Elavil. The only difference is it doesn't affect my libido or mental functioning or triggers in a negative way. I find myself sharper than ever and more on task which is great. But if I had to take a PN drug, it would definitely be Elavil as it was the gentlest of the bunch.
