Numbness without pain indicates severe nerve malfunctions.

When you get sensation with cardio, you may be improving your circulation and the nerves wake up some.

I'd get some orthopedic advice about your sacral and/or lower back...which may be a cause of your problems.

When my foot neuropathy began to reverse, when I started on thyroid hormone therapy, my numb feet tingled for almost a year before becoming normal again.
