turmeric generally has few if any side effects.

however, i believe there are a few cautions for specific conditions. although there may be more, i can think of one off the top of my head, like if you take blood thinners or such.

i believe it's more of a precaution to not exceed recommended levels.

i dunno there may be other things you may need to be aware of or cautions to keep in mind. it's a common preservative, spice, colorant.
