I would be concerned about sitting with very poor posture just to get by for now... in the long term it might come back to bite you.

Things are healing and you don't want to mess up the healing by putting your body in bad positions.
Plus if it is a big posture change from how you sat before the surgery , those muscles will be complaining a lot.


I haven't had surgery but have been reading the forums since 04.
Generally month or 6 weeks off, if they return to work at all.
But we usually don't hear too much from those that had surgery and did really well long term, they may post for a short time and then get on with life. I don't blame them at all, I would do the same if I was back at work and doing all the normal things of full time job & running a household.

A lot depends on what kind of job they do, how they are responding in recovery, medications, pain levels.
I suppose age & general fitness plays a big part too.
