Well, I crashed on Holy Saturday, just before the Easter vigil Mass, which is a two-hour liturgical extravaganza with candles. I could have stayed home, but my family loves it so much I hated to miss out. It took two of my fine, strong teenage sons to get me to the car afterwards.
Well, then this morning it was the first beautiful day of spring, and we went to church again in the morning, and then my older kids took us on a picnic. They had bought all the food and everything as a surprise, so how could I resist that? By then I was pretty weak, so I brought my walker, but I can never resist zooming around on that thing (kneeling on the seat) in the parking lot. Hit a crack, fell over forwards. I'm all bunged up. Got home totally wiped out, and my lovely daughters are making our (simple) Easter dinner. All in all, an extremely wonderful Easter, bruises and all...and, yes, I know, no more zooming on my walker. I really have learned my lesson this time. I promise.
So I guess I sort of overdid it.
