This is not an unknown effect in stroke/brain bleed patients. My nephew by marriage who is only in his early thirties had a massive stroke a few years ago and worked his way towards recovery. He recently had a fairly long lasting brain bleed and recovered some of his motor skills. It is not clear why this happened, the doctors just know it did.... and does......
