He told us Adderall can be psychologically addicting and so we are very careful with it-him, in not scripting very much at a time and only once or so a year, and us, not taking it every day but only when absolutely necessary. It really does help with the focus and getting stuff done, though, so we are considering asking him for a script for Concerta.

Anyone with any experience or knowledge of Concerta and PD please share, thanks.
i have been taking concerta for about 4 mo. i started out on 18mg..now on 27 hve noticed a major differance in thought clarity and am generally calm and somewhat motivated..i have also lost lil weight due to my new found disgust with food ,although concerta has improved alot of my "normal" behaviour...constantly losing things..doing everything a certain way so i dont forget what im doing ...counting on my fingers n anything else around..(so i dont forget what # i was on) ...etc..etc. I would reccomend that if you do decide to try it ...do it in the weekend...my boyfriend also has some add symptoms...and took one of my 18mg one day...just to see ...was a total disaster and stated things that day such as...i dont know how u can think straight while taking this...did u hear that?..im freakin out...needless to say he was almost in tears..not good for him...i on the other hand have found that concerta keeps me calm and content..with that i have become a little less amused by anything in general..bored..not my usual bubbly self..that kinda bums me out..but the calmness definately makes up for the blah.
