Since it's a new and different symptom, and not related to MG per se, you need to bring it up to your primary doctor. Don't bother with the neuro on this one - it's not their area of expertise.

It may be a side effect of a drug but it may not be. I don't want to think you could have something else going on, but you could. Peripheral neuropathy comes to mind.

It also sounds a bit inflammatory due to the redness and blotchiness.

Your primary doctor can take a look see and do an x-ray of your hands to look for any signs of arthritis.

When you suppress the immune system with Prednisone, you are getting rid of both good and bad prostaglandins (Pred is an antiprostaglandin). You may need to supplement with good prostaglandins/omega 3's via eating fish or fish oil and/or flax oil. Again, talk to your doctor about all of this. And ask them to check your Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and folate!
