Hi dawnt,
I have a VP shunt which malfunctioned rather badly a few years back, when it malfunctioned I also got severe body aches, which my neurosurgeon explained to me are from the pressure on the spine from either too much or not enough CSF, in your daughters case I am guessing it is too much pressure. The body aches should go away after the revision. Good luck with everything!
