Call Amazon's Kindle CS number 1-866-321-8851

Amazon has great customer service for the Kindle. Whenever I've had a problem, they've been able to fix it. And the one time they couldnt help me over the phone, the overnighted me a brand new Kindle.



If you want to do a hard reset, hold/slide the power button and hold it for 30 seconds to a minute. (usually a minute will do it)

Did you let it charge up before you used it?

and a thought here...did you turn on the wireless? Pretty sure that they send the Kindles with the wireless turned off to save the battery. The kindle's battery should last nearly a month with the wireless turned off.
