I wonder if you went to an Urgent care center & told them about the hip pain, if they would xray then???
maybe not mention the DDD/ spinal stuff unless you have to...

But it might be related to the spine stuff - hard to say without imaging or x rays, or a Dr, DC, or PT that will palpate the hip area to verify.

My dad had DDD & PD and I think most of the time the DDD is the more limiting due to the pain. He's had back pain for many yrs.
He has a TENS that he wears quite often now, no Drs have mentioned that for you?

you might also look into nutritional info & supplements , alternative care - acupuncture/hypnosis...
