I'm sorry Doydie but I do agree with your hubby. My husband is not my mother and I am not his father come Father's day, so we do not celebrate those days between us.

My own mother died over 30 years ago and sadly my dad followed her a few short years later so come Mother's day or Father's day, I always feel sad and start missing them all over again.

I do however have the most wonderful daughter and up until the last 6 months, we had lived in different states for many years. Recently we moved to the same city and are now treasuring the time we regularly spend together. This year will be the best Mother's Day I've had for 15 years .... not because of anything money can buy, but because we will be together as a family.
