I have ringing also. I had it prior to head injury and it got worse after injury. I have a fan running in my room and in the summer we have window units (air conditioners) and that helps. Other than that I have not found anything to help. They sell "white noise" machines, I think they sound like static, I think that sound would be more annoying. I saw a Ear, Nose and Throat doc and he told me there is nothing to be done and that it will only get worse with age. Yay!!
