Black Dog Institute Temperament and Personality questionnaireWhat is the Temperament and Personality questionnaire?The Temperament and Personality questionnaire is a 109-item questionnaire designed to give people feedback on their personality style and whether it might predispose them to developing non-melancholic depression.This questionnaire originally formed part of the 'Personality and Treatment Response Survey' - a web-based survey developed by the Black Dog Institute to help explore how personality types affect the ways that different depression treatments may work. It is hoped the results of the study will help health professionals to better 'match' people with depression treatments.We had an excellent response to the survey with over 3480 people completing it in the 12 months since it was launched. We sincerely thank everyone who participated. The results of the survey will be posted on the website in the near future, once the data have been analysed.In view of the positive feedback we received about the survey, we decided to retain on the website the Personality questionnaire component of it, as a self-assessment tool. The questionnaire is completely anonymous.Who is the questionnaire meant for? The questionnaire will be of interest to anyone who wishes to gain some feedback on their personality style and whether their personality style puts them at risk of developing non-melancholic depression.
