Well, that was embarrassing! The UPS man made a delivery to my house today. Nothing unusual......he generally makes a couple of deliveries a week to me. And it's usually the same guy. Really nice man who'll stop and talk a minute if I happen to get the door when he's leaving packages on the porch.

Anyway.......the cats heard the truck and went hightailing it back to hide. I knew I would be getting a couple of packages today so I unlocked the storm door and met him when he walked up to the door.

It's very warm here today and, being on the second half of his day's deliveries he was pretty hot and sweaty. As soon as I opened the door I said "Wow, you look hot!" and without missing a beat he smiled and said "well, you're not lookin' too bad yourself"!

He knew what I meant and I knew he was kidding and we both got a pretty good laugh from it....but I'm sure my face turned ten shades of red!

I offered him a cold bottle of water and he gratefully accepted it.

P.S. I'm sure I'm old enough to be his mother!
