We have had an exciting week on the farm. I was able to get two large sections of the garden into raised beds. One is especially for children...with a bean maze/ a three sisters circle( corn , pole beans, yellow squash) and 2 bean TeePees...which the beans will climb up and make a living tent for them to explore, play and pretend in. Even before the seeds have come up...two children have found it to be a wonderful place to just run the maze.
Also, we picked our first fava beans of the year. More than a plastic grocery bag full and all perfect. I had read about spraying for aphids with parsley tea with a drop of dish soap in it. The first tops I had picked were covered with aphids..so I tried the parsley and it really worked. It has been about a month since I sprayed and still no aphids and perfect beans!!! God is good....blessings! Love, Aunt Bean
