I am in the 5-7 year review.
From my paperwork when I was initially approved, it states as you get close to your "normal" retirement age
(which depends on the year of your birth) for
"regular social security," you will get a letter asking which one you want - SSDI or SS.
SSDI is a higher amount of $$$ than "regular" SS. So guess which one I will pick?
