When the mitochondria in your cells are damaged or not working right, lactic acid may build up.

You can try taking some acetyl carnitine, r-lipoic acid and CoQ-10 to help shift to metabolism of fatty acids for energy instead. This reduces lactic acid build up.

There is also some evidence that Fibro responds to ribose supplements.
Ribose is a 5 carbon sugar, that is used to make ATP in the cells.
