My first therapy session today . . . and no, it is not like chiropractic (no cracking) and not like massage (no rubbing or hard, deep pressure) . . . but I am sore and achy none-the-less. it appears to be a more-is-less technique and developed to address the out-of-wackness of our normal responses to pain on the nervous system. The intent is to "dial down' the impulses so they are not sending acute, fight-or-flight" signals all the time.

Initially I felt light-headed, and was encouraged to walk a bit before driving back home on the freeway. That has now progressed to achiness and a little sleepiness. Next treatment is Monday.
