This is tough. I have been dx as schizoaffective among other things. To be honest with you, you should be proud if you can go to school. I can barely remember anything with my disorder. I have stated many times my lawyer told me that if I want to go to school/get a job make sure it is what I want to do for the rest of my life as I probably will lose on my review. As if they see someone with a mental illness doing something productive they will more than likely take the benefits away from you. I am not bragging but it would take a $15-$18 an hour job to come close to my benefits. That of course is counting what they give me for my kids. I really get bored and do volunteer my time so I know where you are coming from. I am 44 and do not want to be on disability for the rest of my life, but I want to make sure if I do try a job it is what I plan to do for the long term.
