If you're relaxing the scalenes as part of this movement here doesn't it also make sense, as part of this or some other exercise, to strengthen the posterior neck muscles? I'd think if you loosen anterior, you'd want to strengthen posterior.
So Jo Mar...keeping the head straight and inline with the upper body would essentially be using those posterior neck muscles? Or could you do head raises in this same position?
