I have heard "fructose" is the least helpful sugar. If this stuff is made primarily from fructose, it might be harmful. I have reacted badly to all of the modern sugar substitutes.
I did OK on the old one, Saccharin, which was banned, and when they unbanned it I tried it,
and I still was OK with it. It seems that in many areas of life, progress is really devolution.
There is only a small number of calories in a modest dose of sugar: I have read 16 calories for a teaspoon of sugar. A teaspoon is enough to sweeten coffee or tea, or even
cereal, if you like your cereal sugared.
With my other disease, Porphyria, sugar is an antidote to an attack. I have had to get sugar down the hatch quick during attacks, but usually only a modest amount will help.
