Default The Red Tent

The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant, is my current favorite, till I have a new one. Maybe the one I'm reading now, "Sarah's Key", by Tatiana de Rosnay.

The Red Tent is a wonderful novel about, Dinah, a daughter of Jacob and Leah, who becomes a midwife. It's an engrossing Old Testament background with a story told about women, babies, and life, from their point of view. Dripping with estrogen! I used to be an OB/GYN/NSY nurse and that setting always attracts me. I feel that I'm right there, and understanding what's going on. Highly recomended to those interested the sisterhood of women and or simply looking for an engrossing and informative read. Linda
